The Event
The Family Activity day is for families and grown ups affected by cleft, to enjoy time together, to chat over tea and coffee, to join in the annual raffle and above all to have fun.
This year the Cleft Lip and Palate Association is delighted to announce we are going to a new venue – CP Adventure, Russborough House, Co. Wicklow W91 W284
CP Adventure has a lot to offer, zipline, climbing tower, bungee trampoline, tag archery, ropes course, abseiling, bush craft, kayaking and team tasks.
We will be planning something for all ages and levels of enthusiasm!

How can I get to the event?
Motor transport – CP Adventure Centre is located on the grounds of Russborough House, Blessington, Co. Wicklow. It is accessible by car. It is also serviced by the 65 bus route. See link to Russborough house for more details. https://www.russborough.ie/visit-us/getting-here/
Google says by car, Newlands cross is 25 mins away, Limerick – 1hr 51 mins , Cork City – 2hr 328mins, Navan 57 mins and Galway 2hr 23mins, Letterkenny 3hrs 22mins, Waterford 1hrs 24mins , Cavan 1 hr 40 mins, Portlaoise 50 mins.
What can I bring into the event?
Bring sunblock, raincoats, the usual for Irish weather. The activities are outdoor and range from strolling, and climbing. Wear sturdy footwear and clothes to have fun in.
Bring a picnic. Weather allowing we can eat outdoors. There is a good option for indoors if we need it too. Please bring flasks of hot water for teas and coffees.
The centre is reasonably buggy friendly
Who can I bring into the event?
Please bring your child (or yourself if you are grown up), brothers and sisters also. If your child would prefer to bring a best friend instead, that is okay too. We love to see Grandparents. If you are an adult and want to bring some friends, or indeed your own children please do. The Family Activity Day has something for everybody.
How much does the event cost ? – 20 contribution per family non -refundable
The Family Day is an important part of the work of the Cleft Lip and Palate Association. The event is subsidised by donations and fundraising from families. We are suggesting a €20 per family contribution towards the costs but if the contribution is putting ‘petrol in the tank’ in order to get here that is fine too. clapai must pay in advance
We run a raffle also which is always fun. Bring some cash for the tickets. As contactless payments have become a thing, we have a ‘Sum Up’ as a backup. If you can help out with prizes please let us know info@cleft.ie or bring along on the day
