Car Parking
Parking for Visitors and Patients is not available within the Hospital grounds. A car park is situated in nearby Eccles Street (Other side of Dorset Street Lower) between the Mater Public and The Mater Private Hospitals (approximately 3 minutes walking distance). The car park is open between 7.30am and 9.00pm, Monday – Friday.
Pay and display parking is in operation in Temple Street and adjoining Streets. Care should be taken not to leave valuables in your car when street parking.
Taxi
A taxi rank is located opposite the front steps of the nearby Mater Hospital in Eccles Street (approx. 3 minutes walk)
Train
Nearest station is Drumcondra Station at the junction of Drumcondra Road Lower and St. Anne’s Road North (near the Royal Canal) – The Maynooth Line. Approximately a 15 minute walk from the Hospital. Connolly Station is approximately a 25 minute walk from the Hospital.
Accommodation
Parents can arrange to stay in the Hospital while their child is admitted. It is advisable to check as to bed availability one week in advance of your child’s admittance. The Hospital will try and accommodate parents if they can.

The Children’s University Hospital, Temple Street, is located on the north side of Temple Street, Dublin 1, near George’s Place. St. Francis Clinic can be accessed via a laneway to the right of the main hospital entrance (adjacent to the A&E entrance).
